The middle of June

Time passes so fast!!  I can't believe its the 18th already.  Such a busy time of year.  I have a love - hate relationship with summer.  I love the warmth and all things summer, I hate the humidity and the schedule it brings.  With summer camp, I work double shifts that make it impossible to get anything done.  I have three hours between shifts and I can't seem to get much done in three hours,  then back to work until 7 or 8.  By the time I get home..... I'm tired.  Can't seem to think straight with everything that's running through my mind.  I'm worried about my dad and am trying to figure out how to get there to see him SOON.  Thank you for the well wishes for the family.  I do appreciate it!  I'm not doing very well with keeping up with the blogging.  I'll try to keep you posted on things when I find out.

A little more information

After a week of tests and blood work, we have a little more information on my Dad.  The blood work actually came back good and the lungs are clear.  But they have scheduled a Colon scan and Cat scan for the entire body.  They are thinking that the cancer has started somewhere else in his body and spread to his bone.  He arm that he broke still isn't set, it's in an air cast until the finish the body scans.  Then they will probably do surgery to remove the cancer and go from there.  All of this is suppose to happen in the next two weeks.  Then..... hopefully we'll know where we stand.

On other news...

Samantha graduated last week.  She's now in Ocean City for Senior week.  Unbelievable how time flies.   So much going on... and so little time.

Horrible News

I'm so, I'm not even sure what I am....I'm upset, I'm miserable, I'm scared to death.  I got a call from my parents yesterday...my Dad broke his arm and they found bone cancer.  It seems to be secondary cancer from another area.  He did blood work yesterday and this coming week, he'll see his dr to find out what step is next.  I don't think it's going to be good news.  I have a gut feeling that I'm not going to have my Dad for much longer.  I am ...at a loss for words.  I'm sick.  I'm so worried about my Mom...after 50 years of being together, it's going to be so hard for her.  I also don't want him to suffer.  That's my biggest concern now.  I really feel in my heart.....there will be nothing that they can do.  And I know my Dad will refuse any form of treatment to prolong his life.  He's the kind of guy that will want it "over and done".  Less suffering for all.  So, if you pray......if you believe in God, please pray that his will, will be done quickly.
