Last night was Prom night....Sam's last big dance before she graduates next month. Bittersweet. She looked beautiful (as always) so pretty in pink. Her dress was made by Danny's mom. She did a beautiful job with it. And I loved the flowers.
She and Danny look fantastic. Of course, they went in his new car. A BMW convertible, and it started raining as soon as we finished with pictures. But..... it was so perfect for pictures right before it rained. I have to give a HUGE thanks to my hubby Rob for taking the best photos. I was at work. YUCK. But he did such a wonderful job! He got some amazing pictures. Thanks hon!! Bittersweet memories. So, this is her last formal for high school and she's very excited to be leaving and starting a new life...yet, so sad to leave behind all the things that she loves. She's going to school for photography in the fall. She doesn't know it yet, but got her a Canon Digital Xsi with 2 lens and all she needs to make it work. I can't wait to see her face when she opens this! She's going to be so happy!!
Our son -in- law graduates from Highway Patrol School this week, we have graduation for him on Friday. I guess he's gonna be near philly with his work for awhile. That's a little far from home, but you have to take what they give you when you first start. They'll have to do a lot of traveling for the next couple years. Hopefully, after a few years he'll get a station closer to home. They just built a house near Binghamton NY, right on the NY/PA line. It's in PA of course, you can't be a trooper for PA and not live in PA.
Rick and Amber will bless me (and themselves of course) with another grandchild in August. That will be the 6th grand baby! Gotta love that. Kayla, Tre, Tyler, Makenzie, Ricky and James. I'm almost afraid to ask...will there be more? It's nice to be at an age that I can enjoy them also.
Rob's liking his new job, there isn't anywhere near as much pressure in this job as his last. After having a few months off though, he's having trouble with adjusting his body back to a work schedule, but he's getting there.
I'm doing my usual, taking care of the house, bills, laundry, maid service, cook, computer lab person, shopper, driver and all around busy person.
I did scrap a layout last week. I haven't scanned it yet, but I'm happy that I scrapped.
I've almost finished reading "The Host", the new book by Stephanie Meyer. It's a good read, but it's not "Twilight" It's good, very good.
I can't believe that May is coming to an end and June will be here along with summer camp and LONG hours. I really hate summer for that reason! Working from 8-11 then back to work at 3-7 or 8. Long days...and LOTS of kids. Oh well. Time just goes by way to fast. And the older I get, the faster it goes.
So, busy busy busy is my days! I hope to get a little more settled and back into posting more. A huge thank you to all my blogger friends who've hung in there with me during my "overhaul" It's still a work in progress. I'm almost done with my little break I think. Huge hugs to all of you!!
